I am so thrilled to welcome San Diego 5Rhythms® RTA teacher Christina Graham-Smith, for her debut teaching at Laguna Beach Waves. Many Orange County dancers have driven to San Diego to learn from Christina’s unique perspective of many years of teaching and creating a solid dance community in San Diego, and her diverse experience in the field of pychology and family counseling. Let’s give her a warm Orange County welcome!
Christina is a Certified 5Rhythms® Teacher, part of the global 5Rhythms teachers association (5RTA) and a Licensed Marriage Family therapist (#97298) with a wide range of experience offering movement practices to schools, teachers, hospitals, therapists, teen and adult residential treatment centers and for leaders/practitioners in the healing arts. Christina's teachings focus on building and strengthening our relationship to self, others and our community through authentic movement, expression and awareness. She has spent many years studying 5Rhythms while living in Europe and brings this flavor to her local and international classes/workshops. Life is a dance and when we bring Mindful awareness to embodied movement a pathway opens to discovery of our full potential. 5Rhythms provides us with the map to navigate the internal terrain of our highest and most enlightened selves.

I look forward offering a space where we can bring in the New Year with whatever intentions will hold you and inspire your being.
As you arrive, we will offer you an unlit candle and a small piece of paper to write a word to focus and bring attention to.
Enter the space IN SILENCE (please do not talk while in the dance space).
We will sit in meditation for 5 to10 minutes with our intention.
When you are ready you can bring your candle to the Altar and place it where desire.
Please be on time🙏🏾
Looking forward to cultivating with you…

Natural Mystic: 5Rhythms® Exploration of the Elements/A Field Trip to the Cool Mountains
Refresh yourself in this gorgeous nature retreat in Sierra Madrein the cool mountains east of Los Angeles.
A 5Rhythms exploration of energy via the Elements connected to each rhythm: Earth, Air, Fire, Water & Ether. By embodying the qualities of each element in movement, we can receive valuable cellular information about how energy works within us, how it interacts with others in relationship and the world.
Flow connects us to our Earthy body and intuition. We find our ground and cultivate nurturance. Staccato ignites the Fire of our clarity, vision, expression and passion. Chaos cleanses us in it’s deep, wild waters. The path of least resistance, the Waterelement sweeps us into surrender and let go. Lyrical is the natural outcome of this wave of energy. We lighten up in the open field of Air, expanded, uninhibited and spontaneous. Landing in Stillness, we merge into Ether where all divisions cease and we are connected to all.
Enjoy a picnic lunch under the trees. Bathe in a live music sound healing with Mary Frances Spencer at the end of a deep day.
